Building and Creating

Building in Voxels gives you the freedom to bring your creative visions to life. To start, you'll need a parcel of land. You can purchase land from the Voxels marketplace or find a free plot if available. Once you have your parcel, you can begin building.

Voxels provides a variety of tools to help you construct your creations. The primary tool is the Builder Interface, which you can access through your account. This interface allows you to place and manipulate blocks, apply textures, and add interactive elements to your builds.

  • Placing Blocks: Select the block type from the toolbar and click on your parcel to place it. You can stack, rotate, and resize blocks to fit your design.
  • Applying Textures: Choose from a range of textures to give your blocks the desired look. You can also upload your own custom textures.
  • Interactive Elements: Add doors, windows, and other interactive items to make your builds more dynamic.

When building in Voxels, keep these best practices in mind:

  • Plan Your Build: Sketch out your design before you start building to ensure you have a clear vision.
  • Stay Organized: Keep your building area tidy and use labeled storage for your materials.
  • Collaborate: Don’t hesitate to work with other creators. Collaboration can lead to amazing results and new ideas.
  • Respect the Community: Follow the community guidelines and respect other users' creations and spaces.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues while using Voxels, here are some common problems and steps to resolve them:

  • Login Problems: If you're having trouble logging in, double-check your username and password. If you've forgotten your password, use the "Forgot Password" link on the login page to reset it. If the problem persists, contact support via bugs@voxels.com.

  • Performance Issues: If Voxels is running slowly or you're experiencing lag, try closing other applications or browser tabs that might be using up system resources. Clearing your browser cache and ensuring your graphics drivers are up to date can also help. Lowering the in-game graphics settings may improve performance.

  • Building and Editing Problems: If you're having trouble placing or manipulating blocks, make sure you have the necessary permissions for the parcel you're working on. Refreshing the page or reloading the game can resolve temporary glitches. If the issue continues, report it to the support team via bugs@voxels.com.

  • Connection Issues: If you are frequently disconnected or can't connect to Voxels, check your internet connection. Restarting your router or modem can sometimes resolve connectivity issues. If the problem persists, contact your internet service provider for further assistance.

  • Avatar Issues: If your avatar isn't displaying correctly or you can't make changes, try clearing your browser cache and refreshing the page. If the issue remains, reach out to support for help.

Note

Non-custodial wallets were deprecated at the end of 2023. Browser based wallets (eg metamask, rainbow or brave) will always be supported.

  • Artists: If you had an Apple, Google, Facebook or Coinbase login, you can access your parcels and art with the new email login, just follow the instructions on your account page.
